Iwana Sue Larsen


Sue was born Oct 23, 1954 in Sulphur to the late Johnny “Jay” and Alice (Mishontaumbby) Rochelle. She died Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 58 years 6 months and 22 days. Sue and Eric N. “Rick” Larsen were married on Oct 18, 1998 in Davis.

Sue grew up and attended school in Sulphur. She later attended Murray State College and majored in Business Management. Sue spent several years working in the office at Sooner Foods of Sulphur and prior to retirement she worked as a teacher’s assistant for the Chickasaw Nation Head Start Program in Sulphur. She had a great love for all animals and in her spare time she enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include three daughters, Misty Green of Moore, Micah Green of Angel Fire, NM, Shanna Cole of Wynnewood; Larsen Step-children, Kari Larsen of Davis, Michelle Larsen of Arkansas and James Larsen of Norman; six grandchildren, Jameson and Cash Sutton, Emily Barefoot, Jaden Cole, John and Marie Larsen; sisters, Mary Jernigan of Sulphur, and Nell Lampkin and Iva Robison of Davis; and brothers, Johnny Rochelle of Sulphur and JW Billy of Dougherty.

Sue was preceded in death by son, Cole Douglas and nephew Shawn Rochelle.

Serving as pallbearers were Dustin & T.J. Payne, Michael & Mish Rochelle, James Larsen and Brian Wooldridge. Honorary bearers were Jameson & Cash Sutton, Jaden Cole, Emily Barefoot, Logan Rochelle and Lance Gillihan.
