Ina Bell “Nancy” Rogers
Funeral services for Ina Bell “Nancy” Rogers were held 2:00PM Tuesday,
December 9, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Davis with Brother Gary Fielding
officiating. Interment followed at Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.
Nancy was born April 25, 1923 in Wynnewood, to Oather and Alvie E. (Thompson)
Warren. She died on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in Deer Park, TX,
at the age of 91 years 7 months and 21 days. Nancy and J.W. (Dick)
Rogers were married on August 1, 1947, in Gainesville, TX. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2002. Others preceding her in death include two sons,
Richard Wayne Rogers and John Wesley Rogers Jr., her parents, three
brothers and four sisters.
Nancy spent the first 24 years of her married life raising a family of four,
and the next 20 years working at the Arbuckle Memorial Hospital and the
Falls Creek Baptist Assembly. She spent countless hours working in her
flower beds and her vegetable garden. She was happiest when she was
working outside or cooking and feeding her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Diane Paredez of Deer Park, TX; son,
Eldon Rogers and wife Susan of Norman; two daughters-in-law,
Jackie Rogers of Davis and Cheryl Stewart of Oklahoma City;
Five grandchildren, Augustine Paredez III of Deer Park, TX, Johnathan
Rogers of Tulsa, J.W. Rogers and wife Robin of Wagoner,
Sarah Boyd and husband Jake of Pauls Valley and Jennifer Kelley
and husband Dale of Norman. Family was important to Nancy and
her legacy of five great-grandchildren (with another one on the way)
and two great grandchildren were her pride and joy. To her numerous
nieces and nephews, she was Aunt Ina Bell or just plain Nancy, but she
loved and cherished them all.
Serving as pallbearers were Roger Clemons, Larry Davis, Mike England,
Wyatt Gibson, Jim Pillery and Gary Warren. Honorarylbearers were
W.A. England, Houston Rogers, Billy Ray Warren and Wayne Webb.
A family visitation was held Monday evening, at 6:00PM at Hale’s Funeral Home.
