Howard "Oscar" Wayne Hefley

Oscar was born Sept 7, 1943 in Wynnewood to the late Howard Wharton & Opal Fay (Wilson) Hefley. He died Monday, Jan 4, 2016 in Davis, at the age of 72 years, 3 months & 27 days. Oscar and the late Sharon Kay Digby were married on Aug 10, 1962 in Madill, OK. She preceded him in death on Jun 25, 2006.

Oscar grew up in Davis where he attended school. He spent his career working as a pipeline inspector for ONEOK, retiring in 2006. Oscar was an avid fisherman and coon hunter. He was a true family man, loving and caring for them daily. Oscar enjoyed visiting with friends at the area coffee shops and the Davis Senior Citizen Center. Oscar will forever be remembered as a great, Godly man.

Survivors include one daughter, Trulee (Hefley) Hix & husband Jerry of Wilson; two sons, Walt Hefley & wife Michelle and Blue Hefley & wife Julie, both of Davis; three grandchildren, Kayla, Josie & Jake Hefley; one step-granddaughter, Amy Copeland; one sister, Jo Ann Hefley; as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles & Cousins of the Hefley family.

In addition to his wife and parents, Oscar was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Zona (Hefley) Parks.

Honorary bearers include Bobby Del Hefley, Houston “Hoot” Rogers, Mark Rogers, Mike Rogers, Brian Beasley & Trae Gray.
