Helen Joyce Lumpkin

Funeral services for Helen Joyce Lumpkin will be held 10:30 AM, Monday, Oct 26, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Davis with Rev Johnny Tonihka officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.

Joyce was born June 29, 1927 in Graham, OK to the late John William & Anna Anstus (Gounah) Lumpkin. She died Friday, Oct 23, 2015 in Davis, at the age of 88 years 3 months and 24 days.

Joyce spent the earlier years of her life in New London, TX prior to moving to Davis in 1945. She was a very giving lady, always eager to help others and never complaining. Joyce assisted in raising and caring for her nieces and nephews. Prior to failing health, she was a devoted volunteer with RSVP of Sulphur. In her spare time, she enjoyed collecting music boxes and being with her family. Joyce was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Virginia (Lumpkin) Rudd of Davis and Deanie (Hunt) Watson of Oklahoma City; one brother, Frank Lumpkin of Gilbert, AZ; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and great-great nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by one brother, John Lumpkin, Jr.

Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Webb, Jerry Simmons, W.T. Young, Jim Clemons, Pete Byrd, Don Hickman and Chris Chou. Honorary bearers will be Mike Rudd, Deborah Burrows, John Rudd, Stephen Rudd, Christy Exum, Matthew Watson, Jerry Lumpkin and Joey Lumpkin.
