Funeral services for Hazel Lenora Irons will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, October 26, 2020 at the Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis with Brother Larry Newton officiating. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur.
Hazel was born November 8, 1926 near Stuart, OK to the late Allie and Lillian (Bailey) Reeder. She went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 in Davis, at the age of 93 years, 11 months and 13 days. She and Jack Dawson Irons were married on August 10, 1963 in El Reno, OK. He preceded her in death on August 16, 2013.
Hazel grew up in Bohannon, OK. She devoted her life to the service of our Lord as an ordained minister, preaching until the age of 80. She pastored several churches, as well as, served as song leader for several churches. Hazel also spent many years selling Avon. She loved spending her time studying the Bible. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers and quilting. She and her husband moved to the Sulphur area in 2000 to be near family.
Survivors include three sons, Glen Wise & wife Marlene of San Antonio, TX, Jerry Irons & wife Tammy of Davis and Terry Irons & wife Marla of Nashville, TN; as well as 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Byrl Wise, Jr; grandson, Bucky Wise; great grandson, Haydn Irons; as well as her six siblings,
