Grant Wayne Henley was born April 10, 1972, in Globe, AZ, to Larry Wayne & Billie Jo (Mofford) Henley. He died Monday, January 6, 2025, in Davis, at the age of 52. Grant and the former Ms. Alesha Chadwick were married on April 1, 1996, in Sulphur. She preceded him in death on September 17, 2013.
Grant grew up in Globe, prior to him and his family moving to Davis, Class of 1990. After graduating from Davis High School, he continued his education at OSU Tech where he studied electrical engineering. He later attended SOTC, focusing on Machinery. For several years he and Alisha owned and operated the Grandfield Newspaper. Prior to failing health, Grant worked as a self-employed handyman in the Davis area.
As a guitarist, Grant was an avid fan of heavy metal music. Carrying on Alisha's love for cats, no cat was ever a stray. They all had a home, even if it meant opening his own home to one more. Grant was a very faithful supporter of the DOAV. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking and of course, listening to loud music.
Survivors include his parents, Larry & Billie Jo Henley of Davis; one sister, Donna Bates of Davis; as well as one nephew, Riley Sims of Piedmont.
Per Grant's request, no services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Oklahoma Heart Association.
