Maxine was born April 13, 1936 in Fox, OK to the late Homer and Eula (Mobley) Minnick. She died Monday, December 30, 2019 in Aubrey, TX, following a brief battle with cancer.
Maxine grew up in the Fox area. Following marriage, the couple moved to California, only to return to Oklahoma later. At the age of 28, while traveling through Davis on her way to work, Maxine decided, Davis would be a perfect home for her. She made Davis her home until her death.

After selling the Chuck Wagon, she went to work for Melton Dental Lab in Davis. This employment lasted over 55 years, when she retired in 2016. Her loyalty and love for the Melton family was unwavering.
Maxine was a very active lady. She was always the life of the party and brought so much laughter and joy to those around her. She was known to tell a few jokes, pull a few pranks on others and often times, became the recipient of many jokes and pranks; all the while enjoying every minute of it. Maxine was full of life and lived life to its fullest. Even in her final days, she was full of laughter and enjoyed reliving fun times in her life.
Maxine was a very active member of the Dougherty Baptist Church. She and her dear friend Delma, were always good for at least one outbreak of congregational laughter every Sunday morning. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, gardening and spending time with her beloved friends. She loved her friends and family dearly and in turn, was dearly loved by her family and friends.
