Gary Lee Hollinger

Gary Lee Hollinger was born February 2, 1941 in Caldwell, ID to Sam P. and Billie Lee (Bruner) Hollinger. He died Monday, August 28, 2017, in Norman, OK at the age of 76 years 6 months and 26 days. Gary and the former Ms. Ruth Elaine Johnson were married on August 1, 1959 in Pauls Valley, OK.

As a child, Gary grew up in Caldwell, ID, working on the family farm & dairy. At the age of 14, he moved to Tulsa. Following his high school years, Gary began working for the Reeves Dental Equipment Company and later for Patterson Dental Equipment. In 2003, after a 42 year career in the dental equipment sales, Gary retired and moved to Davis. During his retirement he enjoyed hunting, fishing and travelling around competing in trap shooting.

Survivors include his loving wife, Ruth; mother, Billie Lee Speck of Clinton, OK; one daughter, Lisa Kay Hudson of Broken Arrow, OK; one son, Gary Lynn Hollinger of Fairfield, CA; three brothers, Sam Hollinger & wife Norma of Tulsa, Don Hollinger and Bob Hollinger & wife Linda, both of Haines, OR; two sisters, Paula Jo Coper & husband Verlin of Weatherford, OK and Toni Thiessen & husband Ken of Clinton; four grandchildren, Derek Hudson, James Bradley Hollinger, Lori Ann Hollinger and Dylen Hollinger; as well as six great-grandchildren.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Sam P. Hollinger.

A viewing & visitation was held Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis.
