G B “BUD” WHITE


Bud was born on Oct 7, 1936 in Pride, LA to Elisha and Jessie (Saxon) White. He went to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov 25, 2013 in Sulphur, OK at the age of 77 years 1 month and 18 days. Bud and Mary Elizabeth Talbert were married on Jul 18, 1999 in Sulphur.

Bud was a truck driver for many years, giving him the freedom of the open road. His sharp wit and leprechaun grin caught Mom’s eye. From that day, a love of lifetime started. As a team they drove all over this country, but always came back to where their hearts were, home, with their kids and grandkids.

Survivors include his wife Beth; four daughters, Andrea Smith of Memphis, TN, Angel Hill, Jamie Hill and Charline Beene, all of Sulphur; nine grandsons; 3great grandchildren; seven sisters, Wanza Durbin, Barbara Reeves, Yvonne Landry, Ferriel David, Carolyn Bond & Annie Ree, all of Zachary, LA & Myrtice Flowers of Mobile, AL; as well as two brothers, David and Alfred White, both of Zachary, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tommy L. White; and previous wife, Debra.

Serving as pallbearers were Mason Harvey, Bowen Imotichey, L.A. Payne, Bill Albertson, Mark Lockheart and Mike Saunders. Honorary Bearer was Pastor Jerry Lemley.
