Graveside services for Freddy Leon “Fred” Lamb will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Dolberg Cemetery in Roff.
Fred was born January 26, 1953 in Wynnewood, OK to the late Raymond Leon and Mary Lee (Britt) Lamb. He died on Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Norman, at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 15 days. Fred and the former Ms. Denise A. Hale were married on May 22, 1971 in Oak Grove.
Fred grew up in the Oak Grove/Roff area. He was a 1971 graduate of Roff High School. Following high school, Fred attended East Central University. While in college he worked in the oil field at night and attended classes during the day, always maintaining a very high GPA. Fred left the oil field and spent 10 years operating a family dairy. After leaving the dairy business, Fred spent the rest of his life as a “cattle trader.” He was never one to set idle. He was always on the go.
Fred was a very generous man, always helping others, even when he really could not afford to. He believed in keeping God first in his life, followed by his family. Fred loved his family dearly and made sure all their needs were met. Everyone knew they could always count on him for encouragement and support. Fred was truly the rock of his family.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Denise; one daughter, Audra Scott & husband James; son, Aaron Lee Lamb & wife Shaina, all of Roff; five grandchildren, Tyler Eggleston, Sage Mills, Slaten Scott, Baylin Scott and Brenlee Lamb; a very special great nephew, Alex Martin Lee; as well as other beloved nieces, nephews and family members.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his two brothers, Bill and Ralph Lamb; and one nephew, Billy Todd Lamb.
