Elizabeth Mae Buckner

Funeral services for Elizabeth Mae Buckner, a resident of Roff, will be held 2:00PM, Monday, December 30, 2024, at the Byars Pentecostal Holiness Church with Brothers Frank Trent and John Paul Sampson officiating. Interment will follow at the Dolberg Cemetery, in Roff.

Elizabeth was born August 6, 1961, in Oklahoma City, to the late James P. & Betty G. (Lamb) Quinton. She died on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 63. Elizabeth and Mr. Darrell D. Buckner were united in marriage on July 6, 1985, in Roff.

Elizabeth grew up in the Oklahoma City and Okarche areas, prior to she and her family moving to the Roff area in 1972. After graduating from Stratford High School, Class of 1980, she pursued a career in nursing. Throughout her 40+ years in the healthcare industry, Elizabeth worked as a nurse's aide in long term health care facilities, as well as in private in-home healthcare.

Elizabeth was a very faithful follower of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She devoted much of time to her own ministry, The Way of Holiness, as well as to the Byars Pentecostal Holiness Church. Elizabeth cherished spending time with her beloved grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking for others and sewing.

Survivors include her husband, Darrell; two daughters, Kimberley Buckner and Teeoti Humphrey & husband Randy, both of Ada; five grandchildren, Sydney, Colbi, Shannon, Laurese and Grace; six great-grandchildren, Mara, Jordan, Lexi, Jayden, Averi and Asher; her five siblings, Vickie Spray & husband Chuck, James Quinton & wife Leesia, her twin sister Lisa Melton & husband Randy, Rose Ray & husband Terry, and Clint Quinton & wife Kim; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by one sister, Cynthia Rose Amos.

Services are entrusted to Hale's Funeral Home of Sulphur.
