Edwin Dale Miller

Funeral services for Edwin Dale Miller will be held 2:00PM, Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Hale’s Memorial Chapel, in Davis, with Pastor Jim Kessler officiating Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.

Edwin was born February 19, 1930, in Davis, to the late Robert Miles and Bertha (Packnett) Miller. He died Monday, November 28, 2022, in Sulphur, at the age of 92. Edwin and the former Ms. Kathryn Mae Johnson were united in marriage on December 14, 1951, in Gainesville, TX. From this union were born three children, Derita, Jerry Dan, and Larry Dale.

Edwin grew up in Davis, graduating from Davis High School, Class of 1948. After high school he served in the United States Army. After serving his country, Edwin returned to Davis where he worked for the Hudson-Houston Lumber Company, prior to spending the rest of life working on the family farm. Throughout his years in farming, he and his family raised cattle, wheat and operated a dairy. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, especially quail hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed doing yardwork. One of his most cherished pastimes was spending time with his grandchildren.

Edwin is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn; one daughter, Derita Miller of McAlester; two sons, Jerry Dan Miller & wife Cindy of Edmond, and Larry Dale Miller & wife Karen of Stillwater; five grandchildren, Sean Miller, Reanna Olson, Matthew Miller, Allison Miller, and Brent Deen; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; as well as one brother, Robert Deryl Miller & wife Betty of Illinios.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Deen, Sean Miller, Matthew Miller, Aaron Miller, Cameron Miller, and Brecken Deen.
