Dwain Daniel “Buck” Langeberg
Funeral services for Dwain Daniel “Buck” Langeberg will be held 2:00PM, Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Sulphur with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr & Don Brown officiating. Interment will follow at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur.
Buck was born June 24, 1956 in Los Angeles, CA to Larry F. Langeberg & Esther Fay Billings. He died Tuesday, May 2, 2017 in Sulphur, at the age of 60.
Buck grew up in Ventura, CA. He joined the United States Army in March 1975. Following his honorable discharge in March 1978, he returned to California where we worked as a diesel mechanic for Cummins. He was later transferred to Pasadena, TX with Cummins, where he worked for several years prior to moving to Sulphur. While living in Sulphur, Buck worked as a diesel mechanic for the CD Brown Construction Co. He also spent five years working for Marty’s Paint and Body of Sulphur. In his spare time, he enjoyed listening and playing music. He was an accomplished guitarist and drummer. Buck was also an avid fan of NASCAR.
Survivors include one sister, Shelly Russell & husband John of Sulphur; his father, Larry Langeberg; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Buck was preceded in death by his mother; one sister, Penny K. Dean; nephew Rally Beam; and a lifelong friend, Richard Bland.
