D.C. Cash

D.C. was born September 12, 1931 at Wynnewood View, OK to the late Dolphus Calvin and Sara Lilith (Meredith) Cash. He died Thursday, January 14, 2021, in Davis, at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 2 days.

D.C. grew up in Davis, Joy and Wynnewood. He served in Japan and Korea from August 22, 1950 to June 8, 1952. D.C. spent 35 years working at the Kerr McGee Refinery in Wynnewood. He loved horses, tending to his yard and fixing things.

On July 31, 1952, D.C. married the love of his life, Reba Jo Reading, in Gainesville, TX. From this marriage was born two children, Rhonda and Don. She preceded him in death on December 22, 1988. Others preceding him in death include wife Barbara Hallmark in 1997 and Freda Ozbirn, a special companion for the past 20 years, on December 4, 2020; as well as five brothers Hubert, Thurman, Rubin, Raymond and Carl Cash; and three sisters, Eula Jolly, Oleta Myers and Mable Holder.

Survivors include his daughter, Rhonda Davis and husband Steve of Chigley; one son, Don Cash and wife Ingrid of Davis; five grandchildren, Andy and Scott Davis, Allen Bartee, Tracy Wickersham and Jenny Lloyd; 14 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a special sister-in-law Billie Cash; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
