Funeral services for D.F. Myers will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, Jan 9, 2013 at Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Davis, with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr officiating. A private interment will be held at Green Hill cemetery.

D.F. was born May 4, 1938 in Davis. He died Saturday, Jan 5, 2013 in Sulphur, at the age of 74 years 8 months and 1 day.

D.F. was a lifelong resident of Davis and graduated from Davis High School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a retired machinist at Stromberg-Carlson. He loved to fish and was an avid fan of the OU and Davis Wolves football teams.

He was preceded in death by his mother Irene (King) Myers.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan Habeger and granddaughter Tabetha Kabler of Wichita; Aunt Vye Shackelford of Chicago; cousins including Boyd Ellis of Ardmore, Mickey Shackelford of Chicago, Ron Shackelford of Boston, Russell & Levi Likens of Tulsa; as well as, special friends & neighbors, Bruce and Judy Gibson of Davis.
