Funeral services for Curtis Lee Jones will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Davis, with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow.
Curtis was born July 11, 1960, in Sulphur. He died Saturday, January 6, 2024, in Davis, surrounded by his family. He and the former Ms. Nancy Jane Ross were married on July 31, 1981, in Davis.

He spent the final years of his career working with the Murray County Sheriff’s department.
Curtis was a rather quiet man with a kind soul. His servant’s heart made it easy for his family, friends, and co-workers to love him. Curtis was always calm, yet forceful if needed. His death will truly leave a void in the hearts of many.
In remembering Curtis, co-workers of the Murray County Sheriff’s Department said this, “with his help, the Murray County Sheriff’s Department was able to be more effective in solving crimes. The department has lost a great man and in turn, the citizens of Murray County has lost a great man.”
