Curtis was born February 24, 1952 in Duncan, OK to Curtis Carr, Sr. and Sugar Mae (Williams) Carr. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 12, 2020 in Sulphur, at the age of 68 years 7 months & 18 days. Curtis and the late Ora Mae Carr were married in Tulsa, OK.
Curtis grew up in the Hennepin area attending Woodland Elementary School prior to attending high school in Davis. He spent many years living in the Tulsa area, where he was employed at the Aaon Corporation. Following the death of his wife, he returned to the Hennepin/Davis area. Curtis was known for being an avid fan of Davis Wolves Football and enjoyed walking the fence during home games, offering the referees his opinion on their bad calls. He could also be found gathering pecans all over town he was also a great fisherman, and was the only one that would catch anything. Curtis attended the Gilfield Baptist Church.
Survivors include; his parents Curtis Carr, Sr. and Sugar Mae Burrough; one son, Lee Earl Blackwell; two daughters, Nena Faye Blackwell and Lamargaret Blackwell; 8 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; four brother, Tracy Carr of Hennepin, Vincent Davis of Texas, Craig Carr of Altus, Tyrone Carr of Lexington ; ten sisters, Deborah Wolfe and Elizabeth Currin, both of Tulsa, and Nahunita James and Brenda Williams, both of Hennepin, Debra Jackson of Lawton, Qwendolynn Dixon of Altus, Vanessa Carr of Tulsa, Colista Loud of Lawton, Cynthia Carr of Ardmore, Cathaleen Carr of Oklahoma City; one uncle, Ray Brunner of Lawton; as well as a host of other brothers and sisters; nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Curtis was preceded in death by his wife Ora Mae Carr; one son, Lamont Wilson and one sister Veola Stevenson
