Cherri Watha Batterton

Cherri Watha (Stidham) Batterton was born August 30, 1962 in Dallas, TX to the late Herman T. and Robbie Nell (Fires) Stidham. She died Friday, September 18, 2020 in Sulphur, at the age of 58 years and 18 days.

The early years of Cherri’s life was spent in Dallas and California, prior to the family moving to Sulphur. After high school she attended Murray State College, majoring in Vet-Tech. Most of her adult life was spent as a homemaker, caring for her children. Cherri loved being outdoors fishing, riding ATV’s with family and friends or simply setting on the front porch. Cherri was a very proud member of the Chickasaw Nation.

Survivors include one daughter, Robin Vinson; one son, Joshua Vinson & wife Erica; four grandchildren, Michael Lambeth, Mykayla Lambeth, Tristan Vinson and Brendan Webb; as well as four sisters, Donna Smith, Carol Radford, Pam Vineyard and Bobbie Atteberry.

A memorial service will be held in the near future.

Cremation services were “entrusted” to Hale’s Funeral Home of Davis.
