Charles Windell "C.W." Robson

Funeral services for Charles Windell Robson will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the Hale’s Memorial Chapel in Sulphur, with Pastor Eugene Christian officiating. Interment will follow at the Lewis Family Cemetery east of Wynnewood.

Charles, better known by all as “CW”, was born November 6, 1940 in Artesia, NM to the late Ellis Milton and Mary (Barger) Robson. He died Friday, February 19, 2021 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 13 days. CW and the former Ms. Vida Stowers were united in marriage on August 14, 1968 in Elk City, OK.

CW grew up in Oklahoma, graduating from high school in Salina, KS. Following high school, he began working in the oil field industry. On June 1, 1966, CW was drafted into the United States Army, serving until he received an Honorable Discharge on May 31, 1968.

Following his service to our country, CW returned to the oil field, working as a tool pusher for several years, prior to owning and operating Orbit Aluminum Recycling Company for 30+ years. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. CW was an avid fan of football. He also enjoyed birdwatching.

Survivors include his loving wife Vida; two daughters, Terrie Bergman & husband Richard of Pryor, OK and Shelia Norton & husband Tony of Ratliff City, OK; one son, Heith Robson & wife Leslie of Ada; seven grandchildren, Wesley Griffin, Travis Jones, Melissa Griffin, Jeremiah Jones, Joshua Jones, Patrick Jones and Garth Holman; several great-grandchildren; as well as two sisters, Sue Poole of Elk City and Terri Dabbs of Shreveport, LA.

In addition to his parents, CW was preceded in death by three sons, Richard Jones, David Jones and Alan Robson.
