Charlene Ruth Fullerton - Tigert

Charlene Ruth Fullerton-Tigert was born August 18, 1938, in Davis, to the late Charley Camrel & Ruth Estelle (Payne) Rogers, Sr. She passed away, surrounded by her family, on Monday, January 29, 2024, in Plano, TX, at the age of 85. Charlene and Dwayne Fullerton were married on May 14, 1960, in Davis. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2004. She later married Tommy F. Tigert. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2007.

Charlene grew up in Davis, graduating Salutatorian of the Davis High School Class of 1956. After she and Dwayne married, she spent her working years keeping books for the family-owned housing construction company. It was a known fact, she was not the man running the job, but rather the woman who knew what was going on in the business.

Charlene was a very kind, gentle-souled lady. She maintained a classy appearance and always wore a smile on her face that brightened the day of those around her. She was strong in her belief that right was right and wrong was wrong. Charlene taught her family that life was not always fair, but you must do your absolute best in whatever you were doing.

Charlene was very devoted to her family. Throughout her life, she maintained a very close relationship with her brothers and their families back home in Davis. Spending time with family brought her great joy and peace. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, working word searches, sewing, crocheting, and gardening.

Survivors include her son, Steve Fullerton & wife Debbie of Plano, TX; two grandchildren, Racheal Jones & husband Sean, and Jacob Fullerton; one great-grandchild Hadrian Adair Jones; three sisters-in-law Robbie Rogers, Mary Lee Fletcher and Kaye Fullerton; as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Charlene was preceded in death by one grandson, Benjamin Fullerton; and her three brothers, W.A. England & wife Jeannette, Charley "Gub" Rogers, and Houston "Hoot" Rogers & wife Janice.

Funeral services will be held 1:00PM, Friday, February 2, 2024, at Hale's Memorial Chapel, in Davis, with Willard McCartney, Jr officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.

Services are "Entrusted To" Hale's Funeral Home of Davis.
