Cary "Bob" Doty in his own words:
If you are reading this then I have watched my last OU sporting event. I was born August 13, 1940, in Walters, Oklahoma to Eugene and Merle Doty. I said goodbye on April 6, 2019. I was raised in Wilson and Duncan, Oklahoma. I met the love of my life in OKC, Alice Elmore (Babe). We were married May 24, 1968. I have two daughters, Tara Melissa Portillo (Bug) and Staci Bledsoe (Child). One grandson, Mason (BB) Portillo, who makes my heart smile and a son-in-law, Jose Portillo. I have a granddaughter, Adria Green, and two great-grandchildren, Kyara Smith and Jada Green. Two brothers, Bill Doty and Richard Doty and one sister, Mary Spears. I am a Vietnam Vet.
I have made many friends in my life and if you know me then you know outside of family the most important things in my life are the University of Oklahoma and golf. I hate the cold and love the summer. I have tried to attend every sporting event at OU I could and play golf night or day. We have lived in Davis since 1979 and it has been great! Remember, BOOMER SOONER, BABY! Bye.
P.S. Beat OSU!
