Carolyn Lois Russell

 Carolyn Lois Russell was born June 4, 1930, in Enid, OK, to the late Harry W. & Carrie L. (Banks) Hampton. She passed from this life on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in Davis, at the age of 94 years, 3 months and 7 days. Carolyn met Johnny Ross Russell at the Cedarvale skating rink, south of Davis. After a whirlwind romance, the two were married on September 1, 1947, in Gainesville, TX. Johnny preceded her in death on October 7, 2018.

 Carolyn spent many years working for Southwestern Bell Telephone, which later became AT&T. She and Johnny made their home in the Norman area. Their life together was filled with great love, adventures, and lots of fun. 

 Those surviving Carolyn includes her beloved sister-in-law, Patsy Carter, of Davis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews, whom she loved dearly.

 In addition to her parents and husband, Carolyn was also preceded in death by her stepmom, Ruth Killebrew Hampton.

 Graveside services for Carolyn will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the Green Hill Cemetery, in Davis, with her nephew, Phillip Carter officiating.
