Bruce Wendel Henley was born March 17, 1955 in Holdenville, OK to the late Burl & Willeta Joyce (Rutherford) Henley. He died Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in Dallas, TX at the age of 63 years and 4 days. Bruce and the former Ms. Pamela D. Morton were married on July 12, 1974 in Davis.
Bruce grew up in Davis, where he graduated from Davis High School in 1973. Following high school, he attended East Central University, prior to working at Dolese Bro’s Rock Crusher in Davis for some15 years. He later spent several years working for Haliburton Services and Sill-Mart of Davis. Most recently, Bruce worked as the Transportation Director for the Davis Public School System. In his spare, time he enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing and doing wood-work. His most cherished pastime was being with his family, especially his four grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Pam; one son, Lee Henley & wife Amanda of Davis; one daughter, Lacey Britain & husband Sage of Brock, TX; four grandchildren, Jesse & Emerson Henley and Cash & Case Britain; one sister, Sue Lasiter & husband James of Howe, TX; one brother, Don Henley & wife Cleta of Antlers, OK; and nephew, Bryan Hefley of Corpus Christi, TX
A visitation, celebrating Bruce’s life, will be held Monday evening, March 26, 2018 from 5-7PM at Hale’s Funeral Home in Davis.
