Billie Jean Limke



Jean was born May 23, 1935 in Tecumseh to the late Clarence & Carmen (Brightwell) Kieffer. She died Tuesday, Jan 27, 2015 in Oklahoma City, at the age 79 years 8 months and 4 days. Jean & Gilbert L. Limke were married on July 3, 1952 in Tecumseh. He preceded her in death on Feb 28, 2004.

Jean grew up in Tecumseh where she attended high school. Early in her married life she was a stay at home mom, caring for her children. After the children were older, Jean went to work as a teller for the First National Bank of Sulphur. Later in life she worked for the Oklahoma School for the Deaf in Sulphur, retiring in 1993 after 20+ years. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling with family and friends and gardening. Jean was a devoted member of the Crossway First Baptist Church, where she served her Lord and Savior in various ways.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy LeGrand & husband Buck of Stillwater; two sons, Keith Limke & wife Janey of Yukon and Kirk Limke & wife Laurie of Edmond; six grandchildren, Ryan Scott Limke, Raena Shae Mutz & husband Shane, Meagan Rickard & husband Brian, Madison Limke, Ryan Buck LeGrand & wife Cecilia and Abby LeGrand; two great-grandchildren, Carter Rickard & Santiago LeGrand; as well as one brother, Joe Kieffer & wife Elaine of Wanette.
