Funeral services for Bessie Eudora West will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, Mar 1, 2013 at the Dougherty Baptist Church with Pastors Alan McCoy and Allen Richardson officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.

Eudora was born Oct 25, 1921 in Davis to the late Thomas Andrew & Bessie Young (Montgomery) Pickens. She died Monday, Feb 25, 2013 in Sulphur, at the age of 91 years and 4 months. Eudora and Clifford G. Parks, Jr were married on Aug 23, 1941 in Davis. She later married Bailey West on Jun 7, 1967 in Sulphur.

Eudora spent many years working as a cook at the Cedervale Trout Restaurant, with her special niece and friend, Laverne. In her retirement years, she enjoyed garage-selling, crocheting and reading. Eudora loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Dougherty Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Giddens & husband Ray of Davis; son, Larry Pickens & wife Shirley of Joy; daughter-in-law, Barbara Parks; six grandchildren, Ricky Tillison & wife Sharon of Edmond, Jerry Tillison & wife Lisa of El Paso, TX, Vicky McCartney & husband Sandy of Davis, Jay Parks of Texas, Chip Parks of Florida and Kelly Parks of Ft Myers, FL; several great-grandchildren, including B.J. Tillison, Rebecca Tillison, Jerry Tillison, Jr., Chris Stewart, Melissa Stewart and Noah McCartney; as well as, one sister, Irene Fleming of Davis.

Eudora was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Clifford G. Parks, Jr and Bailey West; son, James C. Parks; as well as, five siblings.
