Arlene Yvonne (Crenshaw) Frantz


Yvonne, as she was known to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2015 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 74.

Born on January 17th, 1941 to TC and Norma (Brock) Crenshaw, Yvonne was a life-long resident of south-central Oklahoma. The graduated from Mill Creek High School in 1959 and attended the Draughon School of Business. Soon after she met her life’s love, Charles Frantz, married, moved To Sulphur and started a family. She worked as a drive-through teller at the First National Bank and Trust for my, many years. She continued to follow her heart and used her talents as a caregiver to obtain a nursing degree from the Southern Oklahoma Technology Center in 1992. For the next 15+ years she served her many patients and their families as an LPN for area nursing homes. She was routinely commended for her hard work, positive attitude and sincere love for her co-workers and residents and she always had a smile for her “little people.”

Beyond her career works, Yvonne enjoyed spending time with her family, Saturday night dancing in her younger years, playing cards with friends, arts and crafts, quiet drives, caring for her dog, Bree, good catfish and God. Throughout her worldly days she was in love with our Lord Jesus Christ and in the end was a faithful member of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries’ Family Worship Center Media Church. Her unyielding faith and infectious smile will be missed by many.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her father TC, mother Norma, grandson Ethan, husband Charles, brother Bobby and daughter-in-law Pam. She is survived by a brother Jimmy, sons Michael and Jeff, daughter-in-law Kathy, grandchildren Joshua, Briana, Jordan, Mariah and Zachary, great grandchildren Tavin “Bubby” and Munon “Moo”, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
