Anita Renee Brassfield was born August 24, 1969, in Lawton, OK, to the late Earl Ray Brassfield and Thelma Diana (Garner) Johnson. She entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in Norman, at the age of 55.
Anita was a lifelong resident of Hennepin. After graduating from Davis High School, Class of 1987, she continued her education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, in Durant. Anita spent 20 years working as a scale clerk for the Martin-Marietta Rock Quarry, until failing health forced her into early retirement.
Anita, better known as "Nee", cherished spending time with her beloved family, especially her niece Audrey. She loved online shopping, cooking for her family and knitting. Anita also had a great love for animals. She had a very giving soul and was always doing her best to help others.
Survivors include her brothers, Alex Brassfield & wife Kelli, and Cody Brassfield; numerous nieces and nephews including, Audrey Rae Brassfield, of the home, Dadrian Brassfield, Kaitlynn Brassfield, Christopher Barnett and LieLani Barnett; stepfather father, Billy Johnson; stepsiblings, Jason Richardson, Kelly Richardson, Howard Johnson, Phillip Johnson, and Rhonda Swann.
In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by one sister, Rebecca Brassfield Barnett.
Services will be held 2:00PM, Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Hennepin Baptist Church, with Pastor Roger Sims
