Albert C. “A.C.” Gain, Jr.

Services for Albert C. “A.C.” Gain, Jr. will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis with Steve Mahan officiating.

A.C. was born Mar 13, 1949 in Orange, TX to Albert C. & Juanita Jewell (Danley) Gain. He died Sunday, March 3, 2013 in Davis, at the age of 63 years 11 months and 20 days. A.C. and Carolyn S. “Susie” Gibson were married on Jun 15, 1968 in Altus, OK.

After graduating from Purcell High School, A.C. joined the U.S. Navy in Aug of 1968 and served until he was honorably discharged in July, 1974. Early in his career he worked as a Sales-Rep for several large food brokers. In recent years, A.C. worked in law enforcement. He worked as a deputy for the Murray County Sheriff’s Dept for five years before joining the Davis Police Department, where he had spent the last ten years. At the time of his death, A.C. was the Assistant Police Chief for the City of Davis.

A.C. was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family more than anything, just as they loved him. A.C. cared deeply for his friends. He enjoyed his life to the fullest.

Survivors include his wife Susie; two sons, Gregory A. Gain and Lance A. Gain, both of Davis; three grandchildren, Jacob & Matthew Courtney and Mackenzie Gain; as well as two brothers, Larry Harris of Moore and Don Harris of Oklahoma City.

A.C. was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Sharon Atkinson & Sheila Lounge.
