Adrian DeWitt West




Adrian was born June 15, 1944 in Petoskey, MI to the late Loren A. & Belfina E. (Redford) West. He died Tuesday, June 17, 2014 in Ardmore, at the age of 70 years & 2 days.

After graduating from high school, Adrian served in the United States Air Force. He had resided Sulphur for the past 45 years, moving here from Michigan. Adrian worked as a stockman for Sooner Foods Grocery in Sulphur for many years. He also worked for the City of Sulphur in the Public Works Department, prior to his retirement in 1998. He was an avid OU Football and OKC Thunder fan. Adrian loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include one daughter, Cheralee Wisdom of Sulphur; one son, Cary West of Arizona; two grandchildren, Keri Cooper & husband Greg and Kevin Higgins; two brothers, Alton and Barney West; one sister, Winifred Levernier; as well as numerous friends including Nelson Wisdom, Robert Price & Charles Brady.
