Addie Annese Woods-Payne

Graveside services for Addie Annese Woods-Payne will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis, OK with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating.

Addie was born January 5, 1932 in Davis, to the late James Arven & Lucinda (Anderson) Woods. She died Monday, August 24, 2015 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 83 years 7 months and 19 days.

Addie grew up in the Davis and Martha, OK areas. After graduating from Blair High School in 1952, she worked as a receptionist for a doctor in El Paso, TX prior to working as a radio dispatcher for the El Paso Sheriffs Dept. Later she worked as a dispatcher for the Texas Department of Public Safety and then dispatched for the US Border Patrol in El Paso. After 20years of dispatching, Addie retired and moved back to Oklahoma in 1995, to care for her mother. During her retirement, Addie enjoyed sewing, doing crafts and of course, an occasional visit to the casino.

Survivors include three sons, Keith Payne & wife Martha of Sweetwater, TX, Billy Kent Payne of Vine Grove, KY and James Timothy Payne of Enterprise, AL; three grandchildren, Steven, Robert & VickiSue Payne; as well as five great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Addie was preceded in death by one grandson, John Payne and the father of her children, Earl R. Payne.
