Aaron Dean Digby was born May 21, 1947 in Wynnewood, OK to B.F. “Dick” & Irene (Pettigrew) Digby. He died Saturday, July 8, 2017 at his home, at the age of 70 years, 1 month & 17 days. Dean and the former Barbara Sue Mann were married on January 6, 1967 in Davis.
Dean was a lifelong resident of Davis, graduating from Davis High School in 1966. While in high school, Dean was known as a true “All-Star” athlete, excelling in all sports. Following high school he attended diesel mechanic school and spent 35+ years working as a mechanic for the Dolese Brother’s Rock Quarry, retiring in 2010.
Dean was a very hardworking man, whose main goal in life was to provide the very best for his family. Being an avid sports fan, he loved traveling across the state watching his four children play sports. As much as he loved watching his children play, it did not compare to the love he had for watching his grandchildren play. The phrase “a sports family” truly describes the Digbys. He and Barbara were the biggest fans his family had.
Being with his family was his most cherished pastime. Whether it was just a small gathering of his immediate family or hosting a reunion for his entire family, Dean loved every minute of it. He also enjoyed fishing with his grandsons, wood-working, sitting on the porch observing nature and going to Babes to eat with family.
Survivors include his wife Barbara; three daughters, Tammie Webb & husband T.J, Jerri Martin & husband Mike, and Jennifer Pierce & Jimmy; one son, Jason Digby & wife Dana; mother, Irene Digby; brother, Ronnie Digby & Dixie; two sisters, Beverly Reynen & husband Bob and Rhonda McCann & husband Ron, all of Davis; nine grandchildren, Logan Webb, Jaden Martin, Casady Webb, Jordyn Romine, Jolie Romine, Cole Martin, Rance Digby, Brendyn “Fuzzy” Pierce and Asher Digby; one great-grandson, Cason Webb; as well as numerous niece, nephews and cousins.
Dean was preceded in death by his father, Dick Digby in January, 1995.
