Gayla Jennette (Lambert) Parks was born September 4, 1972, in Ada, OK, to Thomas J. & Sandra (Magby) Lambert. She found eternal peace on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at her home in Wynnewood, at the age of 51.
Gayla grew up in Davis, graduating from Davis High School, Class of 1990. As a young girl, Gayla enjoyed spending time with her beloved “Grammy Lambert” (Jennette Lambert) and her aunt, Lahoma (Lambert) Botone, whom she lovingly referred to as “Uncle Jennie”, in Dougherty. Following high school, she attended Murray State College, in Tishomingo. After college, she spent several years working in the cosmetology industry as a nail technician. In addition to being a nail tech, she also spent several years working as a waitress at area restaurants.
Of all the things most important to Gayla, her family came first, especially her two sons, Thomas and Drew. She did her very best to care for and make sure her boys were loved and had what they needed to succeed in life. Whether it was cheering them on in sporting events, or simply watching them grow to be good young men, Gayla was always their biggest fan. She also had great love and devotion for her parents, seeing that they were always taken care of.
Gayla was always known to be a social butterfly. Due to her caring soul, she had the ability to attract countless friends, whom she loved dearly. As everyone knows, Gayla could be rather free spirited at times, but even then, her love and devotion to others never wavered, nor did it keep her family and friends from continually loving her.
Gayla is survived by her two sons, Thomas Parks and Drew Parks, both of Wynnewood; her mother, Sandra Lambert of Wynnewood; four sisters, Theresa Vos of Florida, Carolyn Cole & husband Rick of Sulphur, Jeannie Wills of Moore, and Tamara Fjeld & husband Rick of Minnesota; one brother, Billy J. Wills & wife Sheila of Sulphur; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Those preceding her in death include her father, Tommy Lambert on April 22, 2014; her beloved Grammy Lambert; aunt, Lahoma Botone; and one nephew, Daniel Fox.
