David Lee Proctor

David Lee Proctor was born September 26, 1947, in Stockton, CA, to the late Revere David & Velma Lorea (Barfield) Proctor. He died Tuesday, September 19, 2023, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 75 year, 11 months and 24 days. David and the former Ms. Carolyn Sue McWhorter were united in marriage September 24, 1996, in Sweetwater, TX.

David grew up in Missouri. After graduating from high school, he joined the United State Airforce, devoting 20 years of service to our country. Following an honorable discharge and retirement from the Airforce, David spent several years doing handyman work. In 2003, he and his wife Carol moved to Davis, where he began working for the Gordon White Lumber Co, now TH Rogers, at their Ratliff City location, as a store manager. In his spare time, David enjoyed reading. As a car enthusiast, he also enjoyed spending countless hours studying and researching vehicles on the internet.

Survivors include his loving wife, Carol; one daughter, Jennifer Ball of Washington; one granddaughter, Katie Johnson; two great-grandsons, R.J. and Jordan Johnson; two nieces, Jeanette Weller & husband Jeff, and Tonya Gerrard; one brother-in-law, Kenneth McWhorter & wife Dorothy; as well as two great nephews and one great niece.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
